Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. English and liberal arts degrees are preferred.
- No previous experience is required as extensive training is provided.
Position Goals & Responsibilities
At MITC the Helpdesk provides remote troubleshooting, instruction, and software installation services to customers in both cloud hosted and customer hosted environments.
Helpdesk use both customer service skills and technical knowledge in providing assistance. Customer support is provided by phone, email, and remote access.
This is an entry-level position, and no experience is required. Extensive training will be provided. Best fit candidates are those with liberal arts or English degrees.
Job Description:
- Helpdesk works on an average of 3-4 service requests per day. Service requests are managed through an internal ticketing system.
- Day to day, problem solving and critical thinking are imperative to ensure a high quality of service is provided.
- Helpdesk team members work in pods of 3-5 team members where they can collaborate, troubleshoot, and work together as needed.
- Helpdesk assist customers with a variety of questions and needs to ensure they are utilizing their MITC software effectively.

Hybrid Working
Even though MITC workforce is 90% remote, we still need to be thoughtful about where we have staff working. MITC embraced working-from-home before the pandemic. In office attendance is limited to monthly or annual team meetings and trainings. Frequency varies by team. For those employees who prefer an in-office environment, MITC operates an individual desk-sharing and meeting room plan. Each employee chooses their own schedule within these parameters.
