MITC is looking for a Marketing Specialist to join our growing Marketing Team in Frederick, MD.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys both the creative and organizational sides of marketing. You’ll take ownership of our email marketing efforts, help keep our marketing systems organized, and collaborate with our team to drive thoughtful, engaging campaigns.

What You’ll Do
Email Marketing & Campaign Management (Primary Focus)
- Plan, build, and send email campaigns using Mailchimp
- Manage audience lists and segmentation
- Keep subscriber data clean and organized
- Monitor performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, engagement)
- Test subject lines, messaging, and layouts to improve results
- Ensure messaging is clear, on-brand, and aligned with company goals
CRM & Marketing Operations
- Maintain and update marketing data within our CRM
- Complete reporting and provide feedback on marketing metrics
Website & Content Updates
- Keep website content up to date (no redesign or heavy coding required)
- Post new content, update messaging, and maintain accuracy
- Coordinate with our designer or helpdesk when graphics or technical support is needed
Creative & Team Collaboration
- Assist with marketing campaigns and product promotions
- Create light visual assets in Canva
- Contribute ideas for new campaigns and marketing improvements
- Collaborate across teams
Who You Are

If you’ve worked with email platforms (Mailchimp or similar), CRM systems, or digital marketing tools — that’s a plus. If you’re eager to learn, we’re happy to train the right person.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Liberal Arts, Communications, Business, or related field preferred — but relevant experience or strong interest in marketing is equally valued
- Experience with email marketing platforms is helpful
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Comfort working with digital tools and systems
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Logistics & Hybrid Schedule
At MITC, we support a flexible, hybrid work environment that empowers our team members to do their best work— at home or in the office.
- Most roles, including this one, follow a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with in-office collaboration as needed.
- This role requires 3 days per week in office. During the first 6 months, in-office requirements may be higher.
- Employees may choose to work in office full time if preferred.
- Equipment: Laptop, mobile phone, and all necessary equipment provided by MITC.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $40,000-$60,000 salary + benefits package
- MITC benefits package value $5,000 including $1,000 HSA company contribution, 100% company paid medical premium, and a 401K match.
