MITC is looking for an Event Coordinator who enjoys creating smooth, well-organized experiences for customers, associations, and partners across the country.
This role blends event planning, relationship building, and hands-on coordination—both before and after each event—to help ensure MITC shows up prepared, informed, and connected.
The position includes planning, executing and travelling to events throughout the USA (roughly 60% of the role) as well as supporting inbound communications and follow-up activities (about 40%). It’s an ideal fit for someone who is organized, collaborative, and comfortable traveling regularly throughout the USA. MITC covers all travel-related expenses.
What You’ll Do
Event Planning & Logistics
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to understand event goals and outline timelines.
- Coordinate with event organizers, vendors, and association partners to secure MITC’s participation.
- Develop and manage event budgets to ensure effective spending.
- Coordinate with MITC’s marketing & design team to ensure impactful signage, handouts, and materials are used.
Event Promotion & On-Site Support
- Help increase event engagement by sending email announcements
- Oversee on-site logistics for MITC’s booth —from setup through breakdown
- Interact with attendees: associations, customers, and prospects to represent MITC professionally.
- Collect attendee lists when available, import them into the CRM, and manage mail merge communications, and send impactful follow-ups
Post-Event Activities
- Track attendance, gather feedback, and report results to Marketing & Sales teams.
- Summarize outcomes and insights to help improve future events.
Relationship Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with associations MITC partners with.
- Coordinate opportunities for MITC to participate in speaking engagements, webinars, and content-sharing initiatives.
Inbound Marketing Support
- Follow up with prospects and customers who interacted with MITC at events.
- Assist with CRM maintenance, contact updates, mail merges, and outreach tasks that keep communication flowing.
Travel Requirements
- Travel within the USA 2–3 times per month during peak seasons (April–June and September–November).
- Expect two overnight stays per week during these periods.
- MITC covers all travel-related expenses, including transportation, lodging, and meals.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field (liberal arts welcome!)
- Clear, professional communication—including written, verbal, and in person
- Ability to manage multiple moving parts and timelines at once.
- Comfort representing MITC in-person at events – you are travel ready and enjoy engaging in person!

Logistics & Hybrid Schedule
At MITC, we support a flexible, hybrid work environment that empowers our team members to do their best work— at home or in the office.
- Most roles, including this one, follow a hybrid schedule, combining remote work with in-office collaboration as needed. Our office space is available for team meetings, project kickoffs, and individual work, and we encourage in-person time when it enhances collaboration or connection.
- This role requires 3 days per week in office during the first 6 months. Once fully trained, the Event Coordinator in-office requirements may be reduced.
- Employees may choose to work in office full time if preferred.
Equipment: Laptop, mobile phone, and all necessary equipment provided by MITC.
Compensation
- Salary + Bonus: OTE $40,000 – $70,000 with a step-up plan based on quarterly evaluations during the first 12 months
