Solutions for Agencies in Hawaii
In Hawaii, providers are using Agency Workforce Management solutions to help oversee a wide range of tasks. What’s Going On In Hawaii
There is a new phase-in of each waiver service starting with Individualized Services Plans (ISP) held on and after July 1, 2017.
Gov. David Ige signed the Kupuna Caregivers Program into law which helps pay for home care services for a family member. The new program gives eligible families up to $70 per day to help pay for in home care services to better enable seniors living at home who have trouble with activities of daily living.
The funding helps bridge a gap in care services for seniors living at home, but who are not qualified for Medicaid home care services or Medicare home health care services. The bill provides the funding for families who have one member who works outside the home for at least 30 hours per week and also takes care of a relative at home. However, it is not intended to provide funding to cover a staying a long-term care facility.
